Financial Controller

Your mission
  • Manage and oversee the accounting daily operations of the parent company and subsidiaries including:
    • monthly and annual closing for each individual company and group (consolidated) 
    • collaborating with the external bookkeeping advisors to ensure that financial records are kept accurate and up to date
    • billing process.
    • accounts payable/receivable
    • cash receipts
    • general ledger
    • payroll
    • capital assets reconciliations
    • bank account statement reconciliations,
    • fixed asset activity
    • debt activity
    • Tax forms (VAT, IRPF, corporate tax, Social Security, etc). 
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles  
  • Support local accounting teams in cross accounting projects led from HQ, such as IFRS implementation, Reporting package implementation, etc. 
  • Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other      cash management techniques
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Manage and oversee legal and fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Manage and oversee compliance      for the parent company and subsidiaries, specifically customer, partnerships and supplier agreements. Collaborate with third parties when required
  • Manage the Controllership & Accounting team
  • To provide ad-hoc support to the Chief Financial Officer
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting required, Master’s degree is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a must, working with a global team, so the more languages, the better!
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in audit and similar roles ideally for high growth startups.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Process driven.

  • Strong team player.
  • Comfortable using own initiative and taking ownership of processes.
  • High levels of integrity and trustworthiness.
